10. Dragon Ball: Legacy of Goku 2 (Game Boy Advance)
The second action RPG game from Goku and company on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld managed to correct the critics of the first game, and immerse fans in exploring the world of Dragon Ball with colorful missions. Players were finally able to train and learn the techniques and powers of Goku, Gohan, and other Z Warriors. Key moments in the saga are explored from the Raditz saga onwards.
9. Dragon Ball: Hyper Dimension
In the 16 bits, the fighting games set in the different sagas of Dragon Ball Z became a classic. Hyper Dimension is one of the most beloved, with a combat system more similar to that of Street Fighter and a graphic style that brought the heroes and villains of the franchise directly to your television to fight without quarter. As a critic, it had a somewhat limited staff of warriors, but the technical section made the most of the Super Nintendo, a prodigy for the time.
8. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
A game focused on a faithful recreation of the main events of Dragon Ball Z , but that lacks a gameplay not as deep as expected. The special events created for the title are quite fun, but the DLC content did not end up being so well received. Still, it’s an excellent experience that can serve as the foundation for future Action RPGs in the franchise.
7. Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai
This game on PSP takes the best elements of the Budokai saga from PS2, and pours them into a portable version. Its best qualities include a large warrior roster, a content-laden story mode, and a highly dynamic fighting system. It is also portable, so you can take it everywhere.
6. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
The Xenoverse saga is much loved by the public, although there are also those who are not so adept at games that they create new stories and move away from the canon. Its RPG-type character progression dynamics, the ability to fight cooperatively, create our own warrior and a dynamic and balanced combat system, make it an excellent option for those who want to play at being a Z warrior.
5. Dragon Ball: Ultimate Butoden
This exclusive from Japan uses the Super Deformed style (big- headed characters) but had an incredible recreation of the Dragon Ball saga and allowed us to relive the most iconic battles. As we progress through the story we unlock new characters and moments, thus managing to relive the adventures of Goku and his friends at our own pace.
4. Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure
An incredible beat’em up that portrays the first stage of Dragon Ball , with the martial arts tournaments and the fight against Piccoro Daimaoh and later the revenge against his son. The great advantage of this title is that it travels with great fidelity the first stage of the franchise and its gameplay is tremendously addictive.
3. Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi 3
Considered the best game of the franchise for PlayStation 2 , this title is almost a simulator of the Dragon Ball saga with the recreation of characters from the movies and all the story arcs. A complete fighting system, numerous customization options and everything that a fighting title with the Z warriors could ask for.
2. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3
The perfect combination between traditional fighting and aerial fighting . Fans could relive almost the entire series with a level of detail and gameplay that anime lovers loved. Tons of content, a lot of fanservice and the best of Goku, Vegeta and company in one place.
1. Dragon Ball FighterZ
Released in 2018, the title that definitively recreates the saga, the movements and powers of each of the characters in the franchise. Dragon Ball FighterZ is updated every year, adding content and increasing the possibilities of play with the creations of Akira Toriyama. If you like fights and the Dragon Ball universe, this is a title that you cannot stop trying. You will see the powers and abilities of heroes and villains from all stages of the series that marked a before and after with respect to anime in the West, recreated in great detail.
